Trinity Walk announces Christmas light switch on date

The duo will perform alongside Olaf, stars from the cast of Theatre Royal Wakefield’s pantomime and Santa Claus on Thursday, November 12.

The event starts at 4.30pm, with the festive light switch on taking place at 5.15pm. The Frozen friends will also be available for photographs after the switch on until 6.30pm in the Debenhams restaurant.

Cormac Hamilton, centre manager at Trinity Walk, said: “We’re gearing up for one of our favourite, and busiest, times of the year, with added improvements so that the whole family can join in. We’re really looking forward to this year’s lights switch on which will be a real family affair and of course free parking after 3pm which always helps.”

November 12 will also mark the start of late night Thursday shopping, with many stores open until 8pm and free parking after 3pm. Most restaurants will be open until 10pm.

There will also be a free Santa’s Grotto every weekend and some weekdays until Christmas.
