UPDATED - Man injured after fight in Wakefield city centre

Emergency services were called to Westgate at around 5am this morning.

Police said a 22-year-old man was taken to Pinderfields Hospital with head injuries.

Two men, aged 19 and 18, have been arrested on suspicion of assault in connection with the incident which took place close to Quest bar.

Insp Ian Williams, of the Central neighbourhood police team, said: “We would ask anyone who saw the incident or who has any information to get in touch with us.”
