Urgent appeal to find missing mum and son

Detectives say they are “very concerned” for the welfare of a mum who has gone missing with her nine-year-old son.

Joanne Binns, 42, from Swarcliffe, Leeds was last seen at about 3.15pm on Monday, September 14 when she got a taxi to the Hyde Park area of Leeds.

She is described as white, 5ft 3ins tall, with short brown hair.

Det Insp Phil Jackson, of Leeds District CID, said: “We are very concerned for Joanne’s welfare and need to find her and her son as quickly as possible to check that they are safe.

“We would like to hear from anyone who has seen them or who has any information that could assist us in tracing them.”
