More than 350 children from nine different schools took part in the annual event – organised by Wakefield Music Services and the Cathedral – and sang a range of ‘Tour de Yorkshire’ themed songs which celebrated effort, determination, individuality and achievement.

Phil Needham, principal of Wakefield Music Hub, said: “The enthusiasm and positivity that shone out from the young people through their singing was overwhelming.
