VIDEO: She said yes! Love is in the air with shock proposal

A Pontefract couple are celebrating true love ahead of Valentine's Day after a shock proposal this afternoon.

Nikki May surprised partner Liz Croft with a marriage proposal at Manchester Airport train station.

Nikki, 44, a First TransPennine Express (FTPE) conductor, gave Liz, 42, the early Valentine’s Day present, complete with serenade from the FTPE Choir.

Nikki said: “The airport is our station and takes people to dream locations for great memories and dream - just perfect for new beginnings.

“The choir moved Liz and I so much during a company awards night and I just knew they could make this day so special.”
