The Cribs are set to headline one of the UK’s biggest inner city festivals this summer.
The band, one of Wakefield’s most famous musical exports, will perform at the 6th Tramlines festival, which is expected to draw around 100,000 people to Sheffield in the last weekend of July.
The Cribs will headline the main stage on the Sunday night of the festival, playing tracks from two new albums due out later this year.
The Wedding Present, Deap Vally, Gold Panda, The Gaslamp Killer and Benji B are among other acts booked for the event.
Tramlines festival director Sarah Nulty said: “We’re really excited about the lineup so far and I think fans will see just how committed we are to compiling a diverse music programme that appeals to music fans across the board.”
