Wakefield one of UK hotspots for drink and drug driving

Wakefield has been named as one of the top ten hotspots in the UK for drink and drug driving.

More than two (2.24) in every 1,000 drivers in the city have a conviction for drink or drug driving.

The figures, revealed as part of a UK-wide survey by MoneySuperMarket, place Wakefield eighth in the list.

The survey covered seven million car insurance quotes. Sunderland came top in the findings, with 2.91 drivers for every 1,000 having a conviction for drink and drug driving.
