POLICE are investigating a suspected brothel in Woodcock Street, Belle Vue after complaints from neighbours.

And they believe there may be more than one woman using the house.

Insp Richard Clare, of the Rural Neighbourhood Police Team (NPT), said: “Some of the neighbours have complained about suspicious activities at the house, they have also reported problems with noise and visitors parking on the street.

“They suspect women may be providing certain services.”

Under current UK legislation the act of prostitution is not illegal.

But it is against the law to manage or operate a brothel.

Anyone with any information should contact the NPT on 101.
