Players who last lifted the Challenge Cup for Wakefield Trinity 50 years ago will come together for a special celebration.

The rugby league club won the competition in 1963 after beating Wigan 25-10 during what was a successful period for the team.

Wakefield Trinity Wildcats will host an anniversary dinner on Friday, June 7, with former players from both Trinity and Wigan.

Former players and fans are invited to join them for a three-course dinner and champagne reception at the Rapid Solicitors Stadium, in Belle Vue.

Some of the cup-winning side will talk about the part they played during that famous game and will share their memories of the unforgettable season.

Tickets, costing £45 per person, are now available from the club, but there are limited spaces.

To book a place contact organisers on 01924 211611.
