Property consultancy Sanderson Weatherall is selling the stadium on behalf of the fixed charge receiver of the property.

They have been appointed by the Bank of Ireland, who owns the stadium.

The Belle Vue ground has been put on the market with a guide price of £600,000.

Neil Bestwick, a partner in Sanderson Weatherall’s asset advisory and recovery team, said: “This is an excellent opportunity to acquire this well-known stadium with centuries of heritage.

“There has been much speculation as to where the club would play its rugby in 2016 and beyond.

“We are pleased to have been able to agree revised lease terms on behalf of our client resulting in the club’s commitment to this venue going forward.”

Belle Vue has a capacity of 7,236 and includes a mix of covered and open seating areas.

The clubhouse includes hospitality and conference rooms, offices and changing rooms.
