Temperatures to rise in Wakefield next week with highs of 26C
Following a week of thunderstorms and heavy rain, this weekend will stay unsettled with further showers and spells of rain in places, before warm and dry weather arrives next week.

Today:
Mainly dry, if rather cloudy in places at first, with some brighter spells developing for a time. Becoming more generally cloudy later, with some rain spreading northwards, coupled with heavy and perhaps locally thundery showers. Maximum temperature 19°C.

Hide AdRain and showers should gradually ease during the evening to become largely dry by the early hours. A few mist and fog patches possible towards dawn. Minimum temperature 7 °C.
Saturday:
A drier and brighter day, with light winds and some warm sunny spells. Isolated showers are possible during the afternoon, although these will be fewer and lighter than of late. Maximum temperature 22 °C.
Outlook for Sunday to Tuesday:
Wet and windy with some rain for a time Sunday, but brighter later. Monday starting fine, but probably turning cloudier later, with a little rain possible at times into Tuesday. Temperatures will hit around 23C on Tuesday, rising to 26C on Wednesday.
Thursday is also looking fine and sunny with temperatures reaching 22C.
