FOOTBALL mad Lewis Stephens will fulfil most youngsters’ dream by walking out at Wembley next week.

The Ossett Town Under 10s midfielder will escort his England heroes on to the pitch for their Euro 2012 qualifier against Wales on Tuesday evening.

Lewis, nine, is one of 22 youngsters who won the chance to walk out with the two teams after entering a national competition with McDonald’s and The FA.

Holy Trinity School pupil Lewis of Church Street, Ossett, supports Manchester Utd and said he was looking forward to meeting striker Wayne Rooney the most.

He said: “I can’t wait for the match. I never thought I would get the chance to meet the England team.

“I love football and so this is a dream prize for me. All of my friends are so jealous.”

He will be joined on the day by proud father Craig, 29, who is also manager of his football team.

This is not the first time Lewis has won a major competition. Earlier this year he won his family a holiday to the Bahamas with TV channel Nickelodeon.
