THE cash strapped Wakefield Trinity Wildcats have gone into administration on the eve of the Super League season.
In a statement released today (Friday) they said: “We are talking to interested parties about taking over the club. The club will be playing its opening match of the season against Castleford at the Millenium Stadium in Cardiff tomorrow, and we would hope that a successful sale of the club will be concluded in the near future.
“We will be meeting with the Rugby Football League on Monday to discuss the future of the club and any parties interested in acquiring the club should contact my office.”
The joint administrators are being advised by legal firm Clarion.
