Woman and baby rescued from house fire
A woman and an eight-month-old baby have been taken to hospital after a house fire in Stanley.
Crews from Wakefield, Rothwell and Normanton were called to Church Road at around 2pm today (April 6).
The ground floor of the mid-terrace house was ablaze.
And a man is understood to have been rescued from inside.
He refused medical treatment for smoke inhalation.
The woman and baby, believed to have been at home in a neighbouring house, were taken to hospital after the effects of the smoke.
Two hose reel jets and a large jet were used to extinguish the flames.
