Woman assaulted in Wakefield bar
Police are appealing for witnesses after a woman suffered a head injury in an assault at a bar in Wakefield, which may leave her permanently scarred.
The victim, a 20-year-old woman, was near the DJ booth in the Stereo bar in the Latino Quarter off Westgate at around 1.45am on Sunday June 29, when she became involved in an altercation with two other women.
Det Con Bryn Hampshire, of Wakefield CID, said: “We are keen to speak to anyone who was in the bar and witnessed this altercation. Anyone with information is asked to call Wakefield CID on 101.”

Hide AdA 20-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of assault occasioning grievous bodily harm and released on bail. Another woman, aged 20, has also been interviewed under caution in connection with the offence.
