Woman freed from ladder by Wakefield firefighters

A woman had to be rescued by firefighters after she trapped her finger in a ladder.

A neighbour called police after hearing her cries for help on Lake Lock Drive in Stanley this morning.

Police officers managed to get into the house but were unable to free her finger.

Firefighers from Wakefield Fire Station were called at 10.40am.

After being freed she was taken to Pinderfields Hospital for treatment.
