A fashion designer who started a business in his bedroom has spotted X Factor star Jack Walton wearing his latest designs.
Charles Nhemachena sells T-shirts, sweaters and accessories with the Own Character brand on his website.
His work has now caught the eye of X Factor contestant Jack Walton who has been spotting donning Mr Nhemachena’s designs on the ITV talent show.
Mr Nhemachena, 25, said: “It’s overwhelming to be honest. I feel really proud of myself.
“I just want put the brand and Wakefield on the fashion map and I think I’m doing that.”
Jack, 18, from Castleford, is currently battling it out in the live shows of the competition.
The teenager didn’t make it through the judges’ houses stage but was handed a wildcard back into the competition by Simon Cowell.
Mr Nhemachena, who lives in Stanley, said he’s also had orders from Joey Essex, Manchester United footballer Ashley Young and Mobo award-nominated rapper Wretch 32.
He added: “It’s going really well – I never thought it would take off like this at all. It’s amazing.”
