Letter - School holidays are too long

Having read, in this week’s Express, that the council cabinet met this week to decide when school terms will be, I would like to send in my opinion.

The schools that my grandchildren attend both close for two weeks at Easter. This, in my opinion is too long, and at the wrong time of the year.

Why not have two weeks in May/June when the weather is picking up.

Also the time at xmas is too long. Who wants to try and keep kids entertained when it’s freezing cold out?

Having spoken to several parents, they are of the same view.
