UNDERDOGS FOR most of their time in the top-flight, Wakefield Trinity are adapting to a new kind of pressure.

Trinity have won their opening two Betfred Super League games and will be expected to complete a hat-trick at bottom club Catalans Dragons tomorrow.

Wakefield boss Chris Chester admits going into games as favourites is “all new to us” and he said: “So far, so good – we’ve been favourites in our first two games and come away with the result.

“We’ve just got to make sure we handle what Catalans throw at us, but we are looking forward to it and it’d be nice to go three from three.

“That would give us a big boost going into a potentially tough month in March.”

Catalans have yet to pick up a point from three Super League games, but Chester – who could give a debut to former Leeds Rhinos prop Jordan Baldwinson – warned: “They are a totally different team when they play at home.

“On paper they have a very good squad, but there’s something not quite gelling. They’ve had quite a few injuries, but we’re expecting close to their best team and a win is just around the corner.

“We know that full well; we lost our first two last year and then went on a nice little run. We have to make sure we don’t worry too much about Catalans and concentrate more on what we do.”
