THREE youngsters from City of Wakefield Swimming Club made a big splash at the ASA Regional Winter Championships.

Nathan Allat, Louis Allison and Darcy Allison all clocked personal bests in the event held at the Sunderland Aquatic Centre and two of the youngsters returned with medals.

Nathan confirmed his status as one of Yorkshire’s best swimmers in his age group with a superb gold medal in the 100m butterfly, silver medals in the 400m freestyle and 200m butterfly and a bronze in the 200m freestyle.

Darcy added to Wakefield’s medal haul with a bronze in the 50m breaststroke - a great achievement having stepped up to an older age group.

And Louis completed the success with a lifetime best in a highly-competitive 100m breaststroke heat.
