Holmes on target for Huddersfield Town U21s
Promising midfielder Duane Holmes maintained his fine goal-scoring record with a first-half strike in Huddersfield Town U21s’ 4-2 win at Crewe Alexandra.
The teenager from Wakefield found the back of the net inside 10 minutes to give Town the lead in Monday’s clash.
Crewe levelled soon after but the visitors regained their domination and Cristian Lopez fired home a fine second before Daniel Carr bagged a quick-fire brace to give Town a 4-1 lead at the interval.
The hosts netted a late consolation when Town conceded an own goal.
