Huddersfield Town defeat Stoke City in FA Youth Cup

GOAL machine Duane Holmes boosted his scoring record as Huddersfield Town U18s won 3-2 at Stoke City in the fourth round of the FA Youth Cup last night, Wednesday.

The 17 year-old midfielder from Wakefield struck his ninth goal of the season just before half-time to give the Terriers the lead at the Britannia Stadium.

The Potters forced extra time with James Alabi’s spot kick but Town took the initiative with goals from Paul Mullin and William Boyle.

Stoke netted a second late on but Huddersfield held firm to book a fifth round clash with Nottingham Forest at the City Ground.
