YORK City striker Oli Johnson is facing up to five weeks on the sidelines after undergoing an operation to repair a groin injury.

The 25 year-old from Wakefield has suffered a frustrating injury-plagued start to his career at Bootham Crescent after joining York from Oxford United last summer.

The former Nostell MW marksman, who has started only one game and made six substitute appearances for York, is expected to be out for between four to five weeks.
