The Whites’ latest capture is Danish international midfielder Casper Sloth, who arrived from Aarhus for an undisclosed fee, believed to be about £600,000.

The 22-year-old, who has made eight appearances for Denmark, put pen to paper on a three-year deal.

He comes straight into contention for a place in the Leeds team, but faces competition with the club currently boasting 11 midfielders with first team experience.

A 12th midfielder could also be set to arrive with talks still ongoing to take 20-year-old Brazilian Adryan on loan while Leeds have not done in the transfer market and are heavily linked with Argentinian winger Lucas Castro.

United are believed to be aiming to pull off a permanent deal for the 25-year-old Catania wide man who usually operates on the left and would give the team some width they have been lacking so far this season.
