Ossett duo aim to bounce back with crucial home wins

THERE’S an Evo-Stik Premier League double header in Ossett tonight with Albion hosting Woodley Sports and Town welcoming Trafford to Stade France (both kick-off at 7.45pm).

Victory will be crucial for both teams, not only to see them bounce back from disappointing home losses at the weekend but also to avert an end-of-season relegation battle in Division 1 North.

Eric Gilchrist will demand much more from his Town side following their emphatic 6-0 home loss against Skelmersdale United on Saturday.

Town sit eight points above the relegation zone and taking three points from mid-table Trafford should all-but seal their Northern Premier Division status.

Albion will also be looking for a few more points to avoid a late relegation scrap. They sit seven points above the drop-zone going into tonight’s clash with play-off chasing Woodley.

They suffered a 3-1 reverse against Curzon Ashton at the Warehouse Systems Stadium on Saturday but could complete a league ‘double’ over Sports after winning 3-1 in the away game last month.
