OSSETT Town and Wakefield FC will be aiming for FA Trophy progression on Saturday.

Both Evo-Stik Division 1 North sides are involved in the First Qualifying Round tomorrow, with Town hosting Ashton United at Stade France and Wakefield visiting Burscough (both kick-off at 3pm).

As well as progression, and prize money, in one of the more important cup competitions for non-league teams, both sides will also be eager for victories following midweek outings in the league.

Wakefield FC secured their first Division 1 North win of the season on Tuesday night when they defeated Goole AFC 2-1 and will be looking to build on that win at Burscough.

After a run of five straight defeats to start the season Wakefield have show big improvements, losing just one of their last four matches.

Town have made a good start to the season but will be eager to bounce back from a 4-0 loss at Farsley on Tuesday night.

A brace of Ryan Watson goals led the Farsley charge in poor conditions at Throstle Nest. Adam Muller and Matthew Dempsey also netted.

Ossett Albion are in Division 1 North action at Bamber Bridge on Saturday (kick-off 3pm).
