Ossett Town coach takes on Manchester United role

Ossett Town goalkeeping coach Chris Backhouse has left Ingfield to return to his roots at Manchester United.

Backhouse, who played in United’s youth sides alongside the likes of Barcelona and Spain star Gerard Pique, has worked at Town for the last two seasons but will now work with United’s academy keepers.

As well as coaching Town’s goalkeepers, Backhouse donned the gloves on a number of occasions for the first team.
