Ossett Town set for Frickley battle

OSSETT Town will look to receive a boost in the battle against relegation by picking up three points against rivals Frickley Athletic at Stade France tonight (kick-off 7.45pm).

Town face Frickley for the first of two league meetings against the Blues in their next three matches, a double header that could prove crucial in their battle against the drop from the Evo-Stik Premier Division.

Peter Rinkcavage’s Frickley side sit a position and three points above Phil Sharpe’s side going into tonight’s contest.

The South Elmsall club will have brittle confidence having not won in four matches and failing to score in all four.

Victory for Town would provide a big boost in their fight against the drop, but defeat would leave them with a big mountain to climb to get out of the bottom four.

Wakefield FC are also in action in Division 1 North at Mossley (kick-off 7.45mp).

The Bears will be full of confidence following the 6-0 mauling of Prescot Cables at College Grove on Saturday and will aim to continue their fine form in Ashton-under-Lyne.
