Ossett Town will have several new players in their ranks for their eagerly-anticipated Evo-Stik First Division North derby against Ossett Albion on Boxing Day.
One of the new arrivals at the 4G Voice and Data Stadium is Darol Lucas, signed from Albion and in line to face his former club over the festive period.
John Reed and his new assistant Dave Merris have also secured the services of Mike Brewster who has joined the club on a long-term loan deal from Evo-Stik Premier side FC United of Manchester.
Also joining Town are Brad Kerr, from Worsborough Bridge, where he scored 14 goals, and Liam Nelthorpe, skipper at Retford United.
The final new recruit is veteran striker Vill Powell who makes the move from Handsworth Parramore.
However, Reed and Merris are not finished there and they have indicated that they will look to strengthen the squad further in the coming weeks should the right players become available.
The Ossett rivals go head-to-head at Town’s 4G Voice and Data Stadium on Boxing Day with both sides desperate to pick up the points that will lift them away from the foot of the table.
It is the first meeting of the teams this season and while Town are one place below 18th placed Albion in the table they do boast no fewer than six games in hand.
Admission to the derby has been reduced with adult tickets priced at £5, concessions £2.50 and under-16s £1.
The festive fixtures continue on Saturday when Town travel to Droylsden and Albion host Radcliffe Borough.
