Ossett Town are the only local side to remain in the FA Cup after their 3-0 win over AFC Emley in the preliminary round on Saturday.
Jimmy Eyles scored twice and Luke Sharry also netted as Craig Elliott’s men eventually broke down their lower division opponents to book their place in the next round.
Town were forced to wait until early in the second half for the opener and it came through Eyles.
The Ingfield club’s progression was not secure until Sharry’s goal five minutes from time and Eyles put the icing on the cake with Town’s third.
Town will host Bamber Bridge in the first qualifying round on Saturday, September 14.
Ossett Albion could not join their neighbours in the next round as they suffered a 3-1 home defeat against Runcorn Linnets at Dimple Wells.
The visitors opened the scoring inside ten minutes and added a second before half-time. Adam Muller bagged Albion’s consolation goal late on.
There was also no joy for Wakefield FC as they went down 2-0 at home against Evo-Stik Premier League rivals New Mills at the Rapid Solicitors Stadium.
The scores were level until five minutes after half-time when Carlos Meakin put Mills ahead and the visitors sealed their progression with a second goal a minute from time.
