It was honours even as Hemsworth MW took on higher league Ossett Albion in a pre-season warm-up game at the Fitzwilliam Stadium.
For both sides it is early days as they prepare for next month’s start of their respective league seasons, but they got plenty out of a good workout that finished 2-2.
Nash Connolly scored twice for NCE League side Hemsworth, but Evo-Stik League Albion earned a 2-2 draw with goals by Rob Bordman and Connor Brunt.
