Ossett Albion U13s eased to a 5-1 Huddersfield Junior League Division One win over Skelmanthorpe.

Albion took control from the very start of the game with debutant Harry Thornton and skipper Tommy Wood dominating the midfield duels.

First-half goals from Ben Clarke, Luke McGrath and James Donachie gave the Ossett side a comfortable lead and, although the second-half was a much more even affair, Albion extended their advantage through Clarke’s second and Sufyaan Shafi.

Home keeper Harrison Campbell was in fine form pulling off two stunning saves and a great last-ditch tackle from Jarrod Oakes exemplified Ossett’s determination to hold onto their advantage.
