Junior Football: Ossett Town U16s Lions tamed by ruthless Garforth

Last season’s league runners-up Garforth Town were ruthless in beating Ossett Town U16s Lions 4-0.

For large parts of the game the Lions competed well and looked the hosts’ equal.

A lapse in defending and a well executed set play gave Rangers a two-goal cushion in the first half.

Hammond and Watson were at the heart of the Ossett good work. The final ball just letting Town down in front of goal.

Ossett strived to get back in the game, but when Garforth got a third on 70 minutes the energy drained out of the Ossett legs. A fourth in the dying minutes sealed matters.

Hewitt, Smith, Lewis and Hammond stood out for Town but Park-House man of the match went to Alfie Watson.
