Sandal are top of National Three North with two games of the season remaining, after they claimed a bonus point win at Huddersfield YMCA.
The result was never in doubt for Sandal who had secured five points before the hosts finally broke their duck in the closing minutes.
Winger Simon Frewin’s try and two penalties from Mark Pease put Sandal 11-0 up at the break.
Dave Martin crossed early in the second half and Joe Bedford forced his way over soon after.
Gareth Newman raced clear from a quick tap penalty to claim the try bonus point before Pease wrapped-up the visitors’ scoring with a penalty.
The hosts grabbed a late consolation but it was a comfortable win for Sandal, who are now a point ahead of Sale in the league table.
Sandal travel to Burnage on Saturday before a potentially decisive clash at Sale on the last day of the season.
