Having secured a top ten result on its GT World Challenge Europe debut and a fine podium in British GT last Sunday, the team will field two McLaren 720S’ for #72 Nick Moss / James Pickford and #7 Ollie Millroy / Brendan Iribe in the GT Open Pro-Am championship.

The two driver pairings had expected to race in the British GT championship this year, but due to calendar clashes, opted to step up to GT3 McLarens in the GT Open series. For Optimum Motorsport, this is a return to the championship that they know so well from recent years of competition, including the outright victory last year at the Red Bull Ring with Ollie Wilkinson and Jonny Adam.

Private testing took place yesterday with free practice today, Friday. Saturday morning is all about qualifying with race one away at 14.20 CET. Race two is at the same time on Sunday.
