Reliability key as Team WFR return at Rockingham

TEAM WFR’s car team return to action on home shores this weekend in the third round of the British GT Championship.

The Ossett team travelled to Germany’s world-famous Nurburging for the last round and returned to their Sandbeds Trading Estate base with mixed fortunes from the two races.

Both the GT3 and GT4 class cars failed to finish the second race, although a first-place finish for the in-form GT4 team of Jody Fannin and Warren Hughes in the opening race allowed them to retain the overall championship lead.

It means reliability will be the order of the day in round three this weekend as the team targets consistent performances from both of their Ginetta cars.

Time is running out for the GT3 car, driven by Jody Firth and Riki Christadoulou, even though the season is only three races old.

The pair sit tenth in the standings and have yet to secure a point from their races this season - but will be hoping all that changes in Northamptonshire.

Fannin and Hughes sit top of the standings in the GT4 class and will be out to continue their winning ways at Rockingham.

The Lotus Sports UK team sit just four points behind them in second and will be out to maintain the pressure.
