Places available for weekend’s Wakefield District ARL 7s tournament

THE Wakefield and District ARL start the winter season preparations with their annual seven-a-side tournament this weekend.

The sevens tournament has a rich history in the district and will be held at Eastmoor Dragons’ Woodhouse Road base on Sunday.

Eastmoor are the current holders with Ryhill Hammers holding the Plate Trophy from last season.

The pair will be looking for more success this year and will be joined by sevens teams from clubs including Sharlston Rovers and Westgate Wolves.

The first match will kick-off at 12 noon with registration starting from 11am.

There is still time for teams to enter this year’s competition.
