Wakefield restart their campaign against Wigan Warriors at Emerald Headingley - the home of Leeds Rhinos - on August 9 before a clash against St Helens at the Totally Wicked Stadium.

All three opening rounds will see matches played at the same venue with confirmation of where future matches will be played is yet to be confirmed.

St Helens face Catalans Dragons and Huddersfield Giants take on Leeds at Headingley this weekend before five matches at the Rhinos’ home ground the following weekend.

All fixtures will behind closed doors until October 1 at the earliest, when supporters could be allowed back into stadia.

Chester admits it will be “weird” playing a match behind closed doors but wants his side to create their own atmosphere.

“It will be weird but you need to create your own atmosphere. Leeds is a fantastic stadium, it is a smart decision having the games there and Saints stadium is fantastic,” he said.

“I want the lads to get back out there and start enjoying their rugby again and do what we do best.”

Trinity face a tricky start when they get their season back underway as they prepare to face Wigan and St Helens.

The club were due to play Toronto Wolfpack and Salford Red Devils on one proposed fixture list before that was changed.

“There are no easy games,” he added.

“We did quite a lot of work on Toronto and Salford because there were some fixtures which went out a few weeks ago and we thought we were playing those two teams first.

“That planning has gone out the window and we move onto Wigan and Saints.

“I think every team is going to be rusty in those first few weeks back, every team is going to take some time to get used to the new rules. We just want to get out there now.”
