Wakefield Wildcats centre Cowling signs for Doncaster

WAKEFIELD Trinity Wildcats centre Danny Cowling has joined Doncaster RLFC on a dual registration deal for the rest of the season.

The 20 year-old will go into Tony Miller’s squad for the rearranged Co-operative Championship 1 fixture at Rochdale Hornets on Sunday.

Former England U16s and Featherstone Lions player Cowling, from South Elmsall, signed a one-year professional contract at Wakefield last September.

Miller said: “I’m delighted Danny has joined the Dons. He’s a big, natural athlete and I’m sure he’ll cause our opponents problems.

“Danny has been in good form for Wakefield’s academy team and scored their winning try in last weekend’s win over Salford.

“Once again I’d like to thank Wakefield for allowing another of their promising players to join us and I’m looking forward to getting the best out of him.”
