HOOKER Paul Aiton is a doubt for Wakefield Trinity Wildcats’ trip to Warrington Wolves in Stobart Super League XVII Round 7 on Sunday.
Aiton, described by head coach Richard Agar as “our stand-out player” so far this season, sustained a dead leg during last Sunday’s 32-14 loss to Huddersfield Giants.
Agar said: “Paul hasn’t trained with us this week and it will be a race against time to get him fit for the weekend but we’re well covered and both Andy Ellis and Matty Wildie will be in contention if Paul is out.”
There is some good news for Agar however and prop Kyle Amor is due to return after recovering from a broken hand.
