FORMER Wakefield Trinity Wildcats centre Ryan Atkins came back to haunt his former club with a hat-trick as Warrington Wolves eased to a 66-12 Super League XVI win over Wakefield at the Halliwell Jones Stadium.

Wolves opened the scoring within a minute when Chris Bridge crossed and the hosts bagged another three tries through Atkins, Richie Myler and Joel Monaghan, in reply to Kyle Amor’s touch-down, to lead 24-6 at the break.

The one-way traffic continued in the second half with Matt King (2), Louis Anderson (2), Atkins (2) and Mike Cooper going over before Jeremy Smith bagged a late consolation for the visitors.
