HARLEQUINS RL have announced the signing of prop Jarrad Hickey from Wakefield Wildcats.
The 26-year-old failed to make a start in the red, white and blue of Wakefield since arriving at the club from Canterbury Bulldogs in April.
It’s understood he penned a two-year contract with Wakefield but he’ll be playing his rugby league in London in 2012.
Harlequins head coach Rob Powell told the club’s official site: “Last season Jarrad gave a good indication of what he is capable of and we are keen to continue working with him to get the best out of him next season.”
Hickey said: “I’m really excited to be heading to London to play my rugby down there next season. It’s a big move for me and I am looking forward to a big year next year.”
The Australian made eight appearances as a replacement for Wildcats this season, scoring two tries.
