WAKEFIELD Trinity Wildcats will be without the injured Chris Dean for Saturday’s big derby clash against Castleford Tigers in the Carnegie Challenge Cup.

Dean suffered a wrist injury in the 23-10 defeat at Crusaders last time out which has ruled him out of this weekend’s fifth round contest at the Rapid Solicitors Stadium (kick-off 2.30pm).

He’ll join Luke George on the sidelines, with the winger ruled out for a further week due to a hip flexor strain which kept him out of the Super League clash in Wales last Friday.

The injuries mean Matthew Wildie has returned to John Kear’s 19-man squad and on-song winger Dale Morton retains his place after crossing the whitewash three times in his last two outings in the red, white and blue.

Liam Higgins, Tyrone McCarthy and Gareth Moore are all cup-tied.

Wakefield 19-man squad: Blaymire, Murphy, Korkidas, Rinaldi, King, Henderson, Morrison, Lee,P Johnson, Morton, Mariano, Howarth, Veivers, Davey, Wildie, Hyde, Griffin, G Johnson, Amor.
