Kear’s future not clear-cut

WAKEFIELD Wildcats head coach John Kear today spoke frankly for the first time this season about his future at the Rapid Solicitors Stadium.

Tigers head coach Terry Matterson has confirmed he will be leaving the club at the end of the season and the club are looking for a replacement for the 2012 campaign.

“I’m out of contract and (Cas’ coach) Terry Matterson’s going home at the end of the year so you don’t know,” he said.

“David Howes looks after me, he’s a mate as well as a manager so I’ll put my faith in David.

“It’s a club I’ve got connections with, it’s a club I’ve spent a lot of my life there so I’ve obviously got feelings for it.

“But I’ve obviously got feelings for Wakefield Trinity and that’s where I am at the minute.”
