Richard Mathers scored four tries as Wakefield Trinity Wildcats eased to a 50-22 win at London Broncos in the First Utility Super League.
Mathers got the visitors under way with a sixth-minute touchdown, converted by Jarrod Sammut.
The pair combined again minutes later to double the lead and although Broncos opened their account with Thomas Minns’ score, improved by Josh Drinkwater, Sammut sprinted clear to restore the 12-point cushion with a self-converted try.
Wakefield took control and took a 30-6 lead into the break thanks to tries from Dean Collis and Reece Lyne, both converted by Sammut.
Mathers completed his hat-trick early in the second half to turn the screw on the hosts.
Denny Solomona stemmed the tide with a score in the corner, Drinkwater converting, but Collis’ second, goaled by Sammut, made it 40-12 to the visitors.
Solomona’s second was cancelled out by Pita Godinet’s touch-down, again goaled by Sammut.
Matt Cook’s converted try gave the home fans something to cheer but Mathers wrapped up the half-century with his fourth try.
