HOT on the heels of new signings Danny Washbrook and Dean Collis, incoming Wakefield Trinity Wildcats head coach Richard Agar is already planning further additions to his first team squad.

In an exclusive interview with the Wakefield Express this week, Agar admitted that the Wildcats’ player rota “needed immediate attention” but was confident that he “can put a really competitive squad together.”

Unsurprisingly, Agar’s former club Hull FC is providing the source for the much of the latest speculation regarding new arrivals.

Prop Ewan Dowes and former Wildcat Sam Obst are also heavily linked with a move to Trinity and there are set to be more arrivals at the Rapid Solicitors Stadium in the coming weeks.

New Zealand Warriors half-back Isaac John, 22, has become a potential target for Agar, who is now in Australia with other overseas signings in mind.

It’s not just on the pitch where Agar is looking to introduce personnel and former Bradford Bulls and Crusaders man Martin Clawson is set to be named as conditioner in Agar’s new team of backroom staff.
