SALFORD City Reds have signed young Wakefield Trinity Wildcats prop forward Ben Gledhill on a three-year deal.
Gledhill, 21, has progressed through the Wildcats’ ranks and made eight Super League appearances at the club.
With Ray Cashmere on his way out of Salford and Gledhill’s contract set to expire at the end of the season, Reds’ head coach Matt Parish has acted quickly to secure the forward’s services.
In a statement on the Reds official website, Parish said: “Ben’s another young player with a lot of potential who has his best football in front of him.
“With a good off-season and a lot of hard-training we are looking for him to step up and fill Ray Cashmere’s boots.
“He’s a big guy who is still to fill-out more and we are excited to have him here and looking forward to working with him in November.”
