FORMER Wakefield Trinity Wildcats winger Semi Tadulala is set to return to the club for the rest of the Super League XVI season.
The 33 year-old Fijian, who played for Wakefield from 2004 to 2007 and went on to switch codes, has been training at the Rapid Solicitors Stadium following his release from Leeds Carnegie.
Wildcats head coach John Kear has been impressed with Tadulala’s performance, saying: “We will be signing Semi for the rest of the season.
“He has been doing some conditioning work with us and he looks very good.
“You know what you are getting with him and that is one of the reasons we are signing him.”
Kear is hoping that Tadulala will be available for Wildcats’ clash with St Helens on Sunday, July 10.
Meanwhile, Trinity were hoping to announce the arrival of a new overseas signing this week but the club is awaiting the green light from the RFL.
Kear is unwilling to reveal the player’s identity until the signing is complete.
