Trinity trailed 10-8 at the break in Perpignan but fought back to seal their third success on the spin and move joint top of the league.

Reece Lyne and Tom Johnstone crossed for the visitors in the first half but Dragons, looking for their first win of the campaign, led at half-time thanks to Ben Garcia’s try and three goals from Lucas Albert.

David Fifita powered over the line to give Wakefield the lead 11 minutes after the resumption and Liam Finn added the extras.

Finn slotted over a penalty to extend the lead five minutes later and although Catalans registered their second try through Lewis Tierney 15 minutes from time, it was not enough to stop Trinity.
