WAKEFIELD Trinity Wildcats conceded a 10-point half-time lead to lose 23-10 at Super League XVI strugglers Crusaders.

John Kear’s men got off to a great start when Dale Morton crossed in the corner with eight minutes gone and he was on the scoreboard again just four minutes later with a score improved by Josh Griffin.

The visitors held on to their 10-0 lead going into the break but were pegged back by Michael Witt’s touch-down, converted by Clinton Schifcofske, three minutes into the second period.

Vince Mellars’ score on 49 minutes levelled matters before Witt edged the Welsh side ahead with a field goal with 13 minutes remaining.

The game remained in the balance until the final four minutes when Ryan O’Hara and Rhys Hanbury ran in tries, goaled by Schifcofske, that secured two points for the hosts.
